North American Quarterly Supply and Demand Report
Published: Quarterly

Each quarter (March, June, September and December) since 1984, the Communications Center has examined each satellites spectrum utilizing its own C- and Ku-band earth stations at various times of the day and night and on weekends for activity on the North American domestic transponders.

A significant portion of each report is devoted to quantifying the satellite operators' market share for supply and demand and the overall market share for scheduled video, occasional video and voice and data services.  This report is one of the tools the Communications Center uses in tracking fluctuations in transponder supply and demand.  This information is extremely useful for forecasting, future capacity needs.

Don't let your competitors be one step ahead of you in forecasting future transponder needs or knowing where available capacity exists.

Asian Transponder Demand Report
Published: July 2000

Finally, an unbiased report that details the true demand for Asian satellite capacity.

The Asian Transponder Demand Report differs from all others because it relies upon actual measurements and a detailed examination of each satellite using an earth station in Asia.  Real data taken from actual measurements makes this study superior to others that are dependent on reports from carriers or salespeople that may be a little too aggressive in their statements about capacity in use.

Do you know what the real delivery times are for an existing or new design?

It is important to have an understanding of what is a reasonable time for the production, test, launch and other time consuming elements that cumulate in delivery.  Since each spacecraft is unique, there are many factors that affect delivery schedules.  First-of-a-type designs, ground spares and urgent replacements (for launch or on-orbit failures) are detailed.  Problems may be encountered at any stage resulting in delays.  Examples of what can affect schedules are provided using actual case studies.
